Tuesdays & Thursdays - The Spanish Language Conversation Group meets
one Tuesday night (5:30-6:30) and one Thursday morning (10:30-11:30) per month at Pack Memorial Library, 67 Haywood Street, Asheville, in the Lord Auditorium (downstairs). Additionally, there is a group meeting at the East Asheville Library on every second Thursday of the month at 10:30-11:30. The focus is on conversation by using discussion prompts, icebreaker games, and other fun exercises to keep things interesting. 1st Tuesday of each month - The Hendersonville Spanish Speakers Group meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 5:00pm at Dry Falls Brewery Co., 425 Kanuga Rd, Hendersonville. If you like, you can provide your email to Jocelyn when you attend, and she will send you updates. Wednesdays - The AmeriHealth Caritas Spanish Conversation Group meets from 3pm to 4:15pm at AmeriHealth Caritas Wellness & Opportunity Center, 216 Asheland Avenue, Asheville, NC. High-Intermediate and Advanced Spanish. It's a conversation, not a class. Meet new people and explore the culture with a Native Speaker. 100% conversational with gentle, Native speaker support. Small groups for maximum practice. Kids 7+ are welcome to join. Younger kids can play in the kids room equipped with toys, a chalk wall, coloring books, books and Disney plus. Wednesdays - The Language In Action Spanish Conversation Group meets every Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm or later at Peri Social House, 406 West State Street, Black Mountain. Thursdays - The Sobremesa Spanish Conversation Group Meets from 12:30pm to 1:30pm every Thursday at El Que Pasa Restaurant, 891 Patton Avenue, Asheville. High-Intermediate and Advanced Spanish. 1st Thursday of each month - Asheville Language Exchange - English & Spanish. This is a language exchange group, so you will be speaking in both Spanish and English. Tandem MOOC is a free 6-week online Spanish–English language exchange course starting October 2026. You’ll spend about 5 hours a week improving your skills through research-based activities, both individually and with a partner. In the tandem sessions, you’ll split the time equally—helping your partner with English and practicing your Spanish in return.
